POSTINGS
"You don’t really see what happened. It was quick, a hit-and-run kind of thing, right? The ball went in, I was on my ass, I woke up, I stood up and told the referee I had a fucking forearm on my face, on my throat, and that’s something that needs to be looked at. But it happened too quick. I didn’t realize."

Pau Gasol on Blake Griffin’s dunk/offensive foul (however you choose to view it)
"We were in that position a few years back. We had to struggle, fight, scratch and claw with teams in those positions, and we got to the playoffs and won a championship. Last year against Dallas, I think we beat them every time during the regular season. So it’s all about how teams continue to improve during the course of the regular season."

Kobe Bryant on the 3rd-seeded Lakers battling the #1 Thunder
"Why is everybody acting like we’re in eighth place? You guys were kissing the Clippers’ butts at the start of the season, and now we’re in the third seed and everybody’s acting like we stink. I don’t understand it."

Kobe Bryant
"Kobe Bryant is one frustrated guy."

Dan Shulman, ESPN announcer

This quote lets you know if the Lakers won or lost tonight.

"I’m going to be so tight if we see them in the conference finals and he hits a big shot. I’m going to be like, ‘Yo, that’s crazy."

Bynum on Derek Fisher joining the OKC Thunder

“I shot like shit.”

- Kobe on the Lakers first home loss to a Western Conference opponent.

It doesn’t matter to me; I don’t read the headlines. There’s a bank in every city, and I’m going to play hard basketball wherever I go, so I’m good.

I really don’t care about it, man. You’ve just got to play basketball, just have fun. A lot of people lose that … it’s a business and this and that. You’re playing a game, and it’s something you’ve been doing since you were a kid. If you just get back to that and just play, nothing matters.
How do you feel about Drew’s comments regarding a possible Dwight Howard trade?

"We got swept last year, and it was on our minds."

Andrew Bynum
"The Lakers have gone from the Triangle, to some other shape … and it’s a bad shape."

Jay Harris, Sportscenter anchor
gotemcoach:

“I’m very impressed with him.  Very impressed.  I’m not going to BS you.  He’s very detail-oriented.  His practices are very methodical in nature.  He goes from one thing to the next thing.  You know, he’s punching a clock, and it’s very high energy.  It’s a high motor type of practice, a physical practice, a competitive practice, and I like it.”
“I really want to win for him in the worst way, because I see how much he works and I see how much he wants it.  I hear the criticism he takes, and I believe it to be unwarranted. It makes me want to work even harder than I already am.”
