Will the Lakers fix their offensive woes in time? It seems like if Kobe isn’t scoring 40, the Lakers offense can’t do enough to win. Kobe has scored 38 points in his last two games combined. Before his last two games he had scored at least 40 points in four consecutive games. Meanwhile, Pau Gasol posted his season high in points scored with 26.
The Lakers are now 1-5 on the road, and going into tomorrow’s game against the Magic, 1-3 on the road on the second game of a back to back.
The defensive intensity is nice for the Lakers, but against certain teams they’ll most definitely need to score. Teams like Miami are going to put up points regardless, and when they go 9-18 from 3-point range like they did tonight, it’ll only expose the poor offensive strategy for the Lakeshow. That allows huge leads like the one Miami had tonight, which at one point was an embarrassing 23.
39 points on 13-28 shooting, 7 assists and 4 rebounds. And to think this guy is taking painkillers in his wrist before every game.

Portland Trailblazers 107, Los Angeles Lakers 96
Lakers are now 4-4 on the season. They’ve also now lost 11 of their last 13 games in Portland. The Rose Garden is pretty much kryptonite to the Lakeshow it seems.
Kobe had 30 points despite taking a bad fall on his wrist. He also pulled down 8 rebounds, but only had 3 assists, below his season average of 6.
Andrew Bynum had a solid game with 21 points and 12 rebounds. He started off the game 7 for 7, then cooled off to end up 8-16. Pau Gasol had 19 and 7.
Nuggets 99 - Lakers 90
Pau Gasol had 20 points and 11 rebounds and Andrew Bynum had 18 points and 16 rebounds. Kobe had a pretty bad shooting night, going 6-28 for 16 points.
